[In the Media] “The Basic Act on Dementia to Promote an Inclusive Society” (Seishin Igaku [Psychiatry], Vol. 68 No. 5, Expanded Issue, May 2026)

Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Senior Manager Mr. Shunichiro Kurita contributed a keyword commentary titled “The Basic Act on Dementia to Promote an Inclusive Society” to the special feature “Reading the Currents of the Future of Psychiatry and Mental Health Care Through Keywords” in the May 2026 issue (Vol. 68, No. 5, Expanded Issue) of the journal Seishin Igaku (Psychiatry), published by Igaku-Shoin.

This special feature takes up a wide range of newly emerging concepts and terms in psychiatry and mental health care as “keywords,” and attempts to read the currents leading from the present toward the future. The 78 keywords selected by the editorial board are organized into ten currents, and the keyword “The Basic Act on Dementia to Promote an Inclusive Society,” contributed by Mr. Kurita, is positioned within “Psychiatry within Society” (Current 10).
